Yan-Nick Michaud, although relatively new to the Kingston Folk scene, is anything but new to the music scene itself.  Growing up in small town Renfrew Ontario he’s dabbled in many different music projects, playing shows and working along side some great valley musicians. After years of adding bass tones to favoured local bands, such as Same Old Story, Page 3 and One Crown Down, he has finally branched out with his very own music. Months of backpacking, playing in and experiencing the numerous countries of SE Asia in 2016, has led Yan-Nick back to Kingston to set forth his newest acoustic project “Chasing Trees”.  Bringing back with him sounds and stories of his travels, with powerful and beautifully crafted lyrics that will be sure to leave you hanging on every word.
